So, I know, this blog is mostly supposed to be about crafting!  But, I am so in love with this new work out routine, I thought I would share it with you, world!  It is called Crossfit and maybe some of you have heard of it!  I first was introduced by My Aim is True.  The program is a combination of olympic and power lifting, and gymnastics.  Each work out, Work Out of the Day (WOD), is posted daily and is very intense and very short, about 20 min.  We do lots of exercises like push ups, pull ups, squats, and situps.  We run, and row and do box jumps.  Somedays we just power lift, or do sets of Olympic lifts.  I have been doing this for about 2 months now and I have never been in such good shape, not even when I was power lifting or running 7 miles everyday for years.

At first I thought the workouts looked too intense, and that I could never do it.  But one day I check out the WOD and it looked manageable.  So I tried and it was VERY hard.  But I kept doing the workout each day and I was totally hooked.  I have never been stronger or faster.  Plus if you can’t do something, you can use less weight or modify it until you can do the real thing.  Plus the workouts usually take about 20 – 40 minutes, so I am in and out of the gym within an hour!  The best part is that all this is free on Crossfit.com
